For Parents & Boosters

In order for students to achieve maximum success in the department, it's important for parents to become involved in department activities. Our parent booster organization, The Writers’ Guild, focuses on maximizing student experience through volunteer opportunities and fundraising events.

The Creative Writing department provides parents with many unique opportunities. We understand life is busy, so we try to make sure that projects vary in time and level of commitment. The support of our parent volunteers is an essential part of our department’s success.

Donate

Donations are always welcome. Wish list items include printer paper, ink cartridges, flash drives, used computers, and computer software.

Booster Meetings

Booster meetings are the first Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted, and begin at 6:00 p.m. in the DA Creative Writing Suite. A link to join the meeting virtually is sent out via email before each meeting. Below are the booster meeting dates for 2023-2024:

Enrichment Fee

The Enrichment Fee fund helps fund the department’s necessary costs, and is required for every child’s enrollment in the program. The Enrichment Fee for the 2024-2025 school year is $150. This covers the costs of field trips and department activities. Parents should ensure their child’s Enrichment Fee is paid at the beginning of the year. To pay the Enrichment fee make a check payable to: Writers' Guild Boosters Association. Place your child's name in the notes section. The check should be provided to a member of the booster board.

Credit Card payment may be made through the secure payment link below or made in person at monthly booster meetings or events with a member of the booster board.

Payment plans are available, allowing you to make $25/month payments for six months. Click on the link below to make annual or monthly payments.
